What are Google Chrome Extensions and Google Chrome Web Apps?

You must have been using Google Chrome for browsing the web and performing multiple online tasks. Google Chrome is a fast, easy, and very effective web browser and, according to some it is the best web browser software across the globe. The reason for Google Chrome being so much effective among the users is that it has a very clean and easy to use interface. It is quite secure, supports Sandbox, and is in sync with all web standards like it passes Acid1 and Acid2 tests, supports JavaScript/ECMAScript, comes with bookmarks and other useful features etc. Among this long list of features, there are two more noticeable features of Google Chrome: Chrome Extensions and Chrome Web apps.

Many users often consider both Chrome extensions and Chrome web apps as one single entity. But in reality they are both quite separate from each other. The Chrome extensions are basically there to enhance the functionality of Google Chrome or the websites that are being viewed. They don’t have a rich-interactive user interface. Installing them in Chrome, simply adds a button besides the address bar. Examples of Chrome extensions will be currency converter, bookmark manager, or extension that changes behavior of Omnibox etc.

The Google Chrome Web Apps, on the other hand are more user interactive. They have a rich user interface and are designed to perform tasks of one kind. They are something which is in between the extensions and program software and, they are basically standalone in nature. Examples of apps will be: photo editor, games, and video players etc.

Both the Chrome apps and Chrome extensions are both very useful. Simply install/add them to your Chrome to make it more useful. However, if you have any issues in installing or using them, then dial the Google Chrome support phone number and avail the required help from the experts in the industry like, SupportMart and others.
Good thing is many of the tech support companies provide help for multiple brands and products, like Kaspersky tech support, help for Norton, PC support, web browser support and virus removal support etc. Simply contact them when in need, and avail the help as required.
